1. Who We Are

This website is the personal portfolio of Biswarup Bouri, a Full-Stack & Data Engineer. It is not operated as a commercial entity and processes no financial or sensitive personal data.

2. What Data We Collect

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with this site. When you consent, the following data may be collected by Google:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Approximate geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP)
• Device type, operating system, and browser
• Referral source (how you arrived at the site)

We do not collect your name, email, or any directly identifying information. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing, or cross-site tracking.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal basis for processing analytics data is your explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). No data is collected until you click “Accept” on the cookie banner.

You may withdraw your consent at any time using the controls above. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

4. Cookies Used

Your consent choice is stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie) under the key cookie_consent. This never leaves your device.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited (EU) and may be transferred to Google's servers in the United States under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties. We have no access to raw IP addresses — Google anonymises them before storage.

6. Data Retention

Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months (the minimum configurable period in GA4). After this period, data is automatically deleted.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of data held about you
• Erasure — request deletion of your data
• Objection — object to processing
• Portability — receive data in a machine-readable format
• Withdrawal of consent — use the controls above at any time
